Story
We bake first. Then we pull the shots.
Flour & Steam is a morning kitchen. Laminated dough starts at 4am, the espresso bar opens at 8, and the last kouign-amann usually leaves before lunch. We keep the menu short so everything on the counter is from today.

Before you visit
Do you have dairy-free milk?
Yes — oat, almond and coconut, plus full-fat and skim dairy. Oat is our house alternative and is not charged extra.
Can I work from here?
Weekdays, yes — laptops welcome after the morning rush. Weekends we keep tables for food and conversation first.
Do you take reservations?
Most seats are walk-in. For groups of six or more, private hire, or catering, message us and we will hold a table.
Do you have gluten-free pastry?
A flourless chocolate slice most days, and oat porridge until 11. The laminated dough is wheat — we do not pretend otherwise.
Can I order boxes?
Yes. Twelve pieces, 24 hours’ notice, collect from 8am. No deliveries under twenty.
